Any personal data you enter into Burn is used solely to give you the best possible experience within the app, and no other purpose.

What Personal data can you enter?

The following personal data can be entered into burn:

  • Gender

  • Date of Birth

  • Weight

  • Body measurements

  • Resting heart rate

  • General app preferences

  • E-mail address

Where is this data stored?

Any information entered by you, is stored in your own private iCloud account and cannot be accessed by us.

Is your personal data shared or sold?

With the exception of any data received via an enquiry from you, We have no access to any information you enter into Burn and therefore cannot share or sell it in any form.

How exactly does Burn use this data?

Any personal data you enter into Burn, is used in the following ways:

Calculating calories

Burn uses the following information to calculate the number of calories you burn during your workouts:

 

  • Gender

  • Date of birth

  • Weight

Body measurements

Burn can help you chart your body measurements, by collecting the following information:

 

  • Body Fat % 

  • Chest measurements

  • Waist measurements

  • Upper arm measurements

  • Forearm measurements

  • Thigh measurements

  • Calf measurements

Resting heart rate

Burn can help you monitor your overall cardiovascular fitness, by collecting the following information

 

  • Resting heart rate 

 

This information is also written to the Apple health app, with your permission.

General app preferences

Any preferences changed in Burn’s settings menu are used to customise the app to your liking

Other forms of data you can share

E-mail address

If you choose to contact us via the app, We will receive your e-mail address, along with the body and subject of that e-mail

 

This information will only be used for the purpose outlined in your e-mail and is not shared with anyone, unless legally obliged to do so.

 

Your e-mail address, along with the subject and content of the e-mail will only be stored until we have successfully resolved your enquiry.  It is then deleted.

In-App purchases

If you choose to upgrade Burn to the professional version, the payment transaction is handled by Apple.

 

The only information stored in Burn in relation to this purchase, is that you have unlocked the app and can in no way be used to identify you outside of the app.
